Houston, TX (May 3, 2017) — Art League Houston proudly announces the selections of Trenton Doyle Hancock as the 2017 Texas Artist of the Year and Lynn Goode as the 2017 Texas Patron of the Year. Each year, Art League Houston pays tribute to those whose work or patronage has had a significant and positive impact on contemporary visual art in Texas.

As the 2017 Texas Artist of the Year, Trenton Doyle Hancock will be featured in an exhibition in Art League Houston’s Main Gallery from September 8 – November 4, 2017. Art League Houston will also present an exhibition featuring artwork from the private collection of Lynn Goode in Art League Houston’s Front Gallery. Both awardees will be celebrated at the organization’s annual gala, which will be held in their honor on Friday, October 13, 2017.
