HOUSTON – Houston Center for Photography presents their four newest exhibitions, Louviere +

Vanessa: Resonantia, Jan Rattia: Tease, Frank Hamrick: Harder than Writing a Good Haiku, and

Collaborations XIV: The Nature of Technology opening on May 12, 2017 and on display through

July 2, 2017. Rattia and Hamrick were winners of the 2017 Juried Fellowship Awards, juried by Andy

Adams, founder of Flak Photo. Each artist received a $3,000 honoraria – Rattia with the Carol Crow

Memorial Fellowship, which is given to an artist residing within a 100-mile radius of Houston, and

Hamrick with the HCP Fellowship, which is given to an artist from anywhere in the world outside of the

Houston area. Collaborations XIV, showcases HCP’s ongoing access and community educational

program, now in its 14th year, wherein 18 students from 12 Houston-area high schools learn

cooperation and teamwork as they create an exhibition from beginning to end.
