This is not necessarily about art per se or a political post but one regarding culture and assistance. Anytime someone is helping to educate or employ people under fair and beneficial conditions we are in support of it; particularly when it helps those who are less fortunate to progress in life.
Houston, TX – City Council Member Dwight Boykins is pleased to announce his upcoming annual 2nd Chance Job Fair on Thursday, September 21, 2017.
The 2nd Chance Job Fair will provide opportunities for individuals who are seeking to reenter the workforce, underemployed, those who have obtained a GED, and those who have made mistakes in the past, including non-violent ex-felons. The initiative will assist those who are in need of a second chance by addressing the City of Houston workforce shortage and will empower members of our community by improving their quality of life and providing financial stability.
As an added measure of promoting entrepreneurship, this year Council Member Boykins has teamed up with Gulfgate Dodge and Jones|Carter to donate two trucks to assist those in need of starting their new business venture. Restrictions will apply.
